They came to a small building in Berlin, knocked on the door, and an old voice said.
"Come in!"
Silvir went in and saw an old man standing with his back to them. He was tall and looked lonely from the back.
"Hans! I brought my granddaughter to see you!" Silvir's grandfather went over and clasped Hans's hand.
Hans looked back at them with a smile on his face, but a sad look in his eyes.
He immediately struck up a conversation with his grandfather, and one episode stuck in Silvir's memory.
"When I was a kid, a bunch of kids bullied me and stole my lunch. I was so angry that I beat them up, and when I got home my father asked me about it, and I'll never forget it."
"Well, where are your things?"
"Come in!"
