The Passage to Lusfield - 洛斯菲尔德之行(8)
During the course of his voyage, the government implemented a policy that firmed our bravery in life, that every resident of the country would take a mandatory lesson every month. It was a conversation with some clergies of the Ripenist Church. You could ask whatever you want. The lesson, although obligatory, was not cheap, costing 500 Val. This got our life very busy because we were saving money so we could pay for the lesson every month; plus, we were ordered to prepare more stuff to talk about than the normal citizens because we were government employees. However, because of the occupation, we also received a 50% off on the ticket to talk to the clergy. Our life was even busier since the government now was very unsatisfied with the Labor Union's growth, due to a lack of increase in the population; so, it ordered me and Ruth to have another three babies at the end of 2125. This aggregated with our former mission to be another five babies to be given birth to, which put an immense amount of pressure on Ruth. We had sexual intercourse every day and scheduled each year to have nine months of pregnancy, two and a half months of break, and a half a month of sexual intercourse. However, Ruth was not pregnancy-sensitive, a terminology that means Ruth was not really going to get pregnant unless it was tried an incredible amount of times. After so many attempts, we had our third baby in our family and the first baby in the task. The second year saw another pregnancy, but Ruth was too old to do labor. We talked about the situation and Ruth believed she had to give the baby the best she could.
