When all the waiters saw the horrific moment of their career, as socially obliged, they were keeping the situation down and tried to turn down Dr. Burke's request the best they could, plus with respectful tones due to Dr. Burke's occupation as a professor. Dr. Burke raised his voice and demanded once again, pulling out a pistol from his overcoat aside and pointing it to his left temple, loaded.
