about the authorMargaret Mitchell (November 8, 1900----August 16, 1949) Born November 8, 1900 in Atlanta, Georgia. He received a doctor of Arts degree and worked as a reporter for the Atlanta News. In 1937 she won the Pulitzer Prize for her novel Gone with the Wind. Gold Medal of the Southern Society of New York in 1939. She died in a car accident on August 16, 1949. Her short life did not leave many works, but only one "Gone with the Wind" is enough to establish her unshakable position in the history of world literature.
