Alberto halted, and waited for a few moments, before he decided. After all, there was no other place he knew to search for. And, if what she said was true. He had to know.
Thinking of that, he turned around, noticing vaguely that there was no 404 room as he passed the doors marked with numbers, and headed towards the stairway.

‘Why?’ Contrary to what Lydia was telling her, Cecy gripped the other girl’s hand tightly. ‘I can hold on for a bit more, I think. Though you are heavy I admit. But don’t talk like it’s already finished because it isn’t.’ As if to try and prove this point, she tried to heave upward, but failed.
‘I sometimes forget how stubborn you were,’ Lydia sighed. ‘But since you don’t plan to let go, isn’t there something that you wish to ask me? For instance, why there’s no railings where I was standing when there are railings all around the terrace?’
Cecy surveyed the terrace carefully, and noted that what Lydia said was true, as far as she could see. Having to maintain the uncomfortable position of leaning half out of the terrace, her vision range was limited. ‘Yes, so why?’ She asked, to keep Lydia from saying more strange sentences.
