Chapter Seven(20)
She opened her eyes as she felt the temperature change and found herself once again in the cafeteria. The vast room was not completely empty, for as always two figures sat waiting for her beside one of the tables nearby.
Note: the mirror was also very convenient as a bus stop, Cecy thought smugly as she sat down beside Lydia, facing Alberto. This mirror was greater than she had expected.
‘Hi,’ Lydia said, waving her hands at her in a welcoming gesture, ‘Good morning, I guess? Now that we are all here, let’s just——’ She swept her left hand across the tabletop in a flamboyant style, and her usual breakfast appeared. ‘Eat!’ She finished.
Cecy could imagine Alberto rolling his eyes before his voice drifted past her lazily, ‘Do you have to do that, every time? This is an out-of-fashion magic trick now.’
He simply held out his hand, and a blue plate of what suspiciously looked like cookies mashed together with tomato sauce appeared on his palm. ‘This is what is in fashion.’
