The Skyline Chapter Two(Part 3)(4)
I found my pair of glasses and took them out carefully from the pockets in my jacket. I held it out to her and she took them gratefully.
“How do you get these?” She asked suddenly.
“I've made it myself,” I replied, “just like you did.”
“That’s great!” She said.
The privacy bubble appeared around her and I stood there, waiting. Nothing happened to the beacon, so I strolled around the main street. The terrain out here is just normal red Martian ground, and nothing else. There are beacons and signs around what are maybe underground places or shops. These beacons aren’t usually used in many Sectors, for they only allow a small amount of traffic or people in at a time. I’ve found several in Sector N, but they aren’t on and probably deserted.
Then, Stella called me from the original place, and she came to me.
“So you got the supplies?” I asked.
“They will send it to our Sector,” she replied while looking at the complex.
“They could have done send it without you coming here, that’s just dumb.”
“Who knows,” and she returned the glasses to me.
