This makes me think that the gray fog itself isn’t tied to the Sefirah Castle but rather it somehow protects all or some of the other Sefirots. The Castle represents the Seer, apprentice & Marauder pathways so maybe the Western Continent is connected to the Sefirot that represents the Sailor and it’s neighboring pathways. Considering Klein has had the Sea God’s Scepter for a while and the Elf Queen’s delivery quest I can guess at two things. Klein will gain some insight on the Sefirots on a whole and potentially start taking over the Sailor affiliated one. The other is that the Queen’s plan is to use the Sefirot to revive and potentially cause some trouble for the Lord of Storms (though she could also just have an unrelated elfy connection method of revival and just needs Klein to breach the barrier to gain access to it).
