Courage and unity are important for changing current issues. After completing Malala Yousafzai's speech “Malala Yousafzai’s Address to the United Nations” and Deborah Gunther's essay "we will rise", readers may be able to draw some similarities. Two narrators from different countries, both essays call for equality and actively strive for power as a goal. Although the two essays explore different themes, they both share many similar values. Both essays hope for a brighter, more peaceful, and equal world, and both authors do not believe that cowardice can change the status quo; They firmly believe that when the power of unity and courage are combined, something can be done to make the world a better place.
