Chapter Four(15)
They did not arrive at the training room, as Cecy had expected. Instead, when she surveyed the surroundings, she found that the room was as plain as the room she first woke up in.
Will pocketed his brush, and walked calmly from beside her, reaching the mirror framed on the wall. Softly, he touched the delicate artwork——the only way to describe it as Cecy had seen him draw mirrors in almost the exact shape as this one——with the golden lines interlaced and winding across the outline, and his forefingers brushed lightly over the surface, as if it were real glass, instead of a thin veil of smoke.
Wait, Cecy suddenly thought, what if, this mirror was currently, actually made of glass?
She remembered seeing her reflection in the bright and clean surface, before being pulled into the ‘mirror’ by the anyomous man. Smoke didn’t reflect light, or a person’s visage.
Once more spurred by curiosity, Cecy walked towards Will’s turned back, and also reached her hand towards the mirror.
She felt something smooth, and solid, beneath her fingertips. She probed outwards cautiously: it was still cool, and definitely there, under her skin.
