Cecy’s thoughts wound back to beginning as she continued to listen to Lydia talking.
‘This is Cecy, a new recruit here. Actually I think I have some information here that you can see, but her arrival was quite sudden and not planned enough, so it might be limited. You can just ask her any question you want.’
The calm voice, business-like manners and cool attitude, as if Cecy had dreamed the hesitation and the sudden friendliness, the voice that was suddenly slightly off key at the name......
Cecy had once heard that love or hate would change the way one spoke about the other.
It would show in expression and jesture, in tone and in composure.
(There must be some story between these two, that both were avoiding with all their effort, but it was not her place to sort out the problems, and she had no reason to care about the relationship of others that she had barely just met.)
Cecy didn’t seem to realize that she had made many predictions on other’s behavior since she arrived at this place, and she hadn’t voiced it out loud, or even consciously thought about it.
