Chapter 2 The Sleeping Wife(13)
“Actually nothing, through autopsy, the death cause is absolutely confirmed. But combined with the details of this case, I have many doubts.”
“Forensic technician, who handles a case, definitely needs to combine the details, but cannot depend on investigation. I firmly believe that corpse never tells a lie.”
“But since they have a good relationship and without any adultery, why did the man kill his wife?”
“From the perspective of criminal psychology, the criminal offender does not necessarily possess some kind of certain criminal motivation. Although most homicide cases are nothing more than affection, hatred, and property, there are a few murder cases belonging to the situation that the criminals have no motives at all or they are in momentary impulsion. This impulsion, we call it passionate homicide.”
“You mean this case is a heat of passion?”
“So far to see, it should be.”
“But we do not have any evidences.”
“You noticed that when we were on the spot, the scene was enclosing, the door and the window are closed tightly, the curtains were closed too, there was no air conditioner at scene and the electric fan was off. In such hot summer, even if they turned off the electric fan, why did they close the window tightly? Could it be prevention of theft from that window? They were in such bad conditions, they worried what would be stolen? The windows of the secondary bedroom and the living room were all opened, could it be effective on prevention of theft just closing the window on the scene?”
