The only problem is that he didn' find a better life here. Well, it's not like there weren' any options. But, he's starting to realize that maybe there aren't any more good things that he's able to achieve in this little town. It doesn't take much to see that everything has changed since the day he walked into the hospital, hoping to save those boys from their cruel fate. It's like everything has turned into an ugly gray. And he hates gray.
A moment later, Sarah returns, carrying some boxes, which she places on the kitchen table next to him. Then she grabs some food containers and heads upstairs. After a moment of silence, David follows her into the living room, setting everything else down once he gets comfortable on the couch.
