扔海星的人 The starfish thrower(3)

To this, the young man replied, The sun is up and the tide is going out.
对此，年轻人回答说，太阳升起来了，潮就要退了。
If I don't throw them in, they'll die.
如果不把它们扔进海里，它们将会死去。
Upon hearing this, the wise man commented, But, young man, do you not realize that there are miles and miles of beach and there are starfish all along every mile? You can't possibly make a difference!
听到了这些，智者评论道，但是年轻人，难道你没有看到这长长的海滩上面布满了海星。你起不到什么作用的！

At this, the young man bent down, picked up yet another starfish, and threw it into the ocean.
说到这里，年轻人弯下腰，又捡起一只海星扔进了海里。
As it met the water, he said, It made a difference for that one.
当那只海星回到海里，他说道：对于那一只就起作用了。
up说：
智者会那么思考，站在人类的角度好像也没有什么错。因为他并不是无数搁浅在海滩上的，那些无助海星中的一员。如果他也是只海星，处于那种境地，肯定会希望有人能来救他，而不是希望那人先去计算一下投入产出比。
将心比心，换位思考。己所不欲，勿施于人。
随着年龄的增长，我们都会或多或少的变得有些“油腻”，做事之前会思虑良多，瞻前顾后的，一定要把各种利害关系都考虑清楚。这样做固然没错，可以使我们更好的立足于社会，但同时也会使我们变得不再像年轻时那么纯真了。
