Breathe. I need to breathe deeply. But not here. The smell is wrong here. Finally, the squirming thing was before her. Jenny raised her knife high above her head, quivering so badly thatthe only sound she heard was her own bones trembling in the wind. Not right. Not right. Why didn't this man under the sheet hear her fear too? If he were a man, he would know she was not a killer but a frightened girl and he would knock the knife off her hand. But the only thing he was doing is to make that horrible sound. What if he was not a man? Can a knife kill him then? Jenny used all her power a girl could get and stabbed the thing under the sheet. That’s when she heard hundreds of crows cry and fly. Some bumped into Jenny blindly and their feathers were not as soft as she felt in her memory. Penny, her little sister, told her about the crows. They look fierce but gentle inside.The songs and touch they give the dead will guide them to the right way. 

Jenny can feel their touch now, cold like ice, strong like iron. Far away, she can hear John screaming her name. Strange, he is not that far. She turned back and felt rains flowing on her cheeks. They are abnormally hot.
Oh, my eyes. She started to scream.
