巫师，随着哈利波特的流行好像是个时尚又虚幻的职业。但很少人认为是真实存在的吧？而在16世纪，巫师是被认为真实存在的，实行巫术会致人死亡，巫师会被绞刑。
作者是罗伊那埃金耶米，已经读过她两本小书。书中介绍说她这一本有关潘德尔的巫师故事取材于兰开夏郡的真实事件。
