《木偶奇遇记》讲述了木偶匹诺曹的故事。
匹诺曹的爸爸卖掉外衣给他换来课本，让他去上学。而匹诺曹却为了看戏卖掉了课本，被马戏团班主抓住，后来班主放了匹诺曹，还给他五个金币，让匹诺曹给他爸爸。匹诺曹在路上又被狐狸和猫利诱、欺骗，差点被他们吊死，幸好仙女帮了他，他又说谎长了长鼻子，进了监狱，去玩具国被变成驴子，被吃进鲨鱼肚里，历尽千辛万苦遇见爸爸，两人合力回到岸上。匹诺曹终于悔悟，立志要做一个好孩子。
这本书告诉我们，我们不能受坏人欺骗、利诱，也不能欺骗别人，做一个爱学习、爱劳动、诚实听话的好孩子。
