在很久很久以前，在一个农场里，鸭妈妈费了好大的劲孵出了一只又大又丑的小鸭子，它就是丑小鸭。
丑小鸭生下来因为长得丑，遇到了很多的困难和危险。它的同伴欺负它，嘲笑它，最让它伤心的是连它的妈妈也慢慢地讨厌它了。最后它从家里跑出来了，去寻找自己的快乐，又遇到许多困难和危险，但是它很坚强。当春天来临的时候，丑小鸭从湖水的倒影中发现自己长出了雪白的羽毛，变成了一只非常美丽年轻的白天鹅，小朋友们都喜欢它，它做梦也没有想到自己能变成一只白天鹅。
