3.This contract is made by and entered into by the buyer and seller 此合同由买卖双方签订。其中“made by”和“entered into”同义，意为“签订”，重复使用力显文体的正式。
(2)句子方面
商务英语函电的选句因其效率性，精辟性和表达性而彰显出独特风采，在实践时应注意“句以达意”.
1.语句凝干精炼，力求表达有效。语句凝干精炼，力求表达有效是指选词简明，语法正确，使用得体。如:We are in the position to offer you 50 metric tons of iron sheets.(我们能向贵方报50公吨的钢板).offer译为“报盘，开盘”，有商务语言的特点和精辟文风而不同于其文学意义。Our order is subject to your acceptance of our terms of payment by D/P.(我们的订单以贵方接受我方的付款交单条件为准)中“subject to”是“以......为条件”之意。
2.句子表达固定，为表达明确，商务英语函电在实践中已形成固定套语。(1)商务函电首段首句，常见套语有：We thank you for your letter of .We are in receipt of your letter 等。如Thank you for your letter of September 8th ,as reply,we state as follows.感谢你方9月8号的来信，兹回复如下。(2)商务函电结尾句，英语表达有固定方式，如In accordance with your request,we send you a copy of sample for your reference 按照贵方要求随函附寄样品一份供你方参考。
