每一个优美的童话都有一个悲伤的结局。最后小王子死在沙漠里，是被一只毒蛇咬死的，“他的脚踝边闪着一道黄光。他凝然不动。他没有叫喊。过了好一会，他像大树似的倒下。因为这是沙地，他倒下去的时候，一点声音都没有。”就这样，死了么？那时我冒出了这样一个悲伤的念头。我回想起了他与飞行员的第一次相遇，在朝霞初露的时候，一个细细的奇妙的声音打开了这篇童话的序幕；想起他请飞行员帮忙画一张绵羊，却怕绵羊吃了他的玫瑰；想起他去过六个星球，遇见了一些所谓“大人”的生物；想起他驯养的那朵骄傲的玫瑰和神奇的狐狸，它们使他懂得了爱与责任。这是一个多好的孩子，我多舍不得他啊！
合上书的时候，我突然发现，我舍不得的不是小王子，而是我的童年。我从小王子身上看见了自己的影子，以前的自己和他一样的幼稚、异想天开，却无比怀念。我们现在的社会速度太快，我们追寻很久的干净纯白，终于在沙漠里找到，只是它早已结束，留给我们的只是漫天纷飞的黄沙和无尽的深思。
