This novel was written by Robert Louis Stevenson. He was born on November thirteenth, 1850 and died on December third 1894.He was a famous Scottish novelist, poet, essayist and travel writer and he has great influence on English literature.
This novel mainly describe a famous and intelligent physician who turns into a evil man after taking a drug , intended to separate evil from good in a personality . Dr. Jekyll is the main character of this novel .he is known as an acknowledgeable and respectable man in London. Lots of people thought that Dr. Jekyll is nearly a perfect man for what he dose good deeds and cures the pain of his patient.
He owned the good fame for what good deeds he has done. But in his inner heart he always feels tired of what role he has acted as .He wants to change himself ,so he does something evil to set free himself .he dreams to do evil things to make himself feel comfortable.
