Before she knew Martha, she just asked the servant to wear shoes and clothes for her. But she knew everything after knowing Martha.
After she also met Deacon, cousin Colin, robin and gardener Ben Witherstaff. Marys cousin is ill all year round, and her cousin is as grumpy as Mary, but when Mary comes to Mitherswett Estate, Mary and her cousins temper becomes gentle. After Mary knew the robin, the robin led Mary to find the keys of the "secret garden" and "secret garden" that had been blocked for ten years, and then they began to work in the garden.
