THE PLOUGHMAN, THE ASS, AND THE OX

A Ploughman yoked his Ox and his Ass together, and set to work to plough his field. It was a poor makeshift of a team, but it was the best he could do, as he had but a single Ox. At the end of the day, when the beasts were loosed from the yoke, the Ass said to the Ox, “Well,we’ve had a hard day: which of us is to carry the master home?” The Ox looked surprised at the question.
“Why,” said he, “you, to be sure, as usual.”
我的成长胜经——快乐故事已经快看完了，这篇故事《可怜的驴子》给了我很大的启发。故事内容大概是这样的：有一个农夫，养了一头驴和一条狗。
驴子每天早起辛勤的干活，常常搞的精疲力尽；而狗则每天吃好喝好，给主人逗乐。每当等这家的主人回来时，驴子早已累的呼呼大睡。就这样，狗儿一天比一天受主人宠爱，驴子却日渐被冷落。
驴子满腹委屈，每天抱怨，终于有一天，驴子不想再抱怨了，变向狗请教让主人开心的办法。狗得意地说：“这很简单，只要你白天养好精神，晚上向主人撒撒娇就可以了！”驴子连忙像狗表示感激。
