第一次读甘长铭老师的小说，是一个很偶然的原因。在长江边拉琴唱歌，甘老师高歌一曲《我像雪花天上来》，音色圆润，高亢明亮，干净的嗓音不带一点杂音。充满激情的演唱让我深深地折服。
我和甘老师深入交谈中，得知甘老师常年笔耕不缀。于是我向甘老师提出能否拜读大作。甘老师很爽快地应承了。一个月色如水的晚上，我们在三峡宜昌长江边畔的屈原像下继续拉琴唱歌时，甘老师走来，静静滴坐在一旁。等候大家歌曲联唱表演完毕，在《难忘今宵》的优美旋律里，甘老师取出随身带来的中篇小说。我接过来浏览了一下，工工整整的钢笔行书体，遒劲有力。真是字如其人啊!分手之后，我踏着月光回家，倚在床上就着桔黄色的灯光，一口气读完，意犹未尽，不忍释卷。从心底呼出一个声音：真是一片吸人眼球的.好小说。很久没有读到这么新颖的作品。这篇小说《寻找失落的世界》，有一个很独特的书名，故事也引人入胜，其中主人公舒灿和叶丽、郭爽之间的情感纠葛情节跌宕起伏，爱情与利益之间的矛盾冲突尖锐复杂;传统观念与现代理念的冲突，揭示的很到位。
