I bet Asia/the Western Continent is on the other side of that fog. I had guessed the Europe and Asia somehow split apart which is why it’s viewed as two different continents but an impassible barrier will do the trick too Alternatively if Klein walked more south rather than, Africa could be on the other side of the fog. They haven’t really talked much or hinted at what or where Africa ended up.

Now that I think about it, the Western Continent (= Asia) is separated from the Northern Continent (= North America) by the Fog Sea. And this makes me think about something else. The Elf Queen said that the Fool had the key to enter the Western Continent. And the Continent seemed to be sealed by a Fog. Could it be that the one who sealed the Western Continent was the original owner of Sephira Castle?
