Everyone nodded. Baron continued “But, we found a drop of fresh suspicious spot on the slippers, and we have confirmed the spot is the human blood by Benzidine test. Just now, I got the phone from DNA lab which confirmed the drop of the spot was from Lydia. So, is it possible for Lydia’s blood to go around a wall and splash onto slippers ten meters away without leaving any trace on the living room floor? That’s impossible. In other words, at the time of the crime, the men’s slippers should have been next to the decedent.”
Everyone was quiet and thinkink what Baron analyzed.
“Lydia was wearing slippers when she died. Then this pair of men’s slippers must be worn by the suspect.” Baron said excitedly. “If a stranger commits a crime, does he have to change shoes when entering the house? If so, this must be a hygienic murderer.”
This joke did not make everyone laugh because everyone was thinking.
“You mean the acquaintance commit the crime? And the motivation?” The captain then asked.
“This is hard to say, but the most possibility is love killing or vendetta. The traces of the scene flipping may be for camouflage. The key at the door is that the suspect thrown at the door in order to disguise the scene. I also considered the murderer posing as a repairman to change the slippers into the room to rob. But the possibility is small, so the murderer didn’t need to throw the key at the door to disguise the scene. Of course, these are all inferred by myself, I have another evidence to prove that this is an acquaintance.”
